Frequently Asked Questions
How Much Does It Cost?
This event is being sponsored by The District Restaurant & Lounge. There is no charge to attend. Appetizers will be provided and there will be a cash bar.
Where Can I Park?
The China Town parking garage is diagonally accross the street at the corner of Lincoln St. and Beach St. There is also ample street parking in the vicinity of the restaurant. In addition, there is parking at South Station, which is about a block from this venue.
Is This A "Sales" Event?
No. This event is not designed to be a place to pitch your products and services. This event is designed to be a place to meet and get to know new people. You might end up making a sale or meeting a new client, but please don't show up expecting to pitch everyone in the room.
We strongly encourage you to setup one on one meetings with the people you meet at the event.
This event is a professional networking event, but it is also social and we hope it is fun.
How Are The Events Run?
Our events are simple. You arrive and receive a name tag. Then you mingle and meet new people. If you don't know anyone in the room, we have several facilitators at every event who know other people and can help you meet the people you are interested in meeting. Facilitators wear a red nametag.
How Do I Get Added To The Invitation List?
If you are unable to attend this event, but would like to be added to our invitation list, please click on the "Contact The Host" link on the right side of the page and ask to be added to our mailing list.
Why didn't I Get Invited To This Event?
There are a couple of reasons why you might not have been invited to one of our events:
- If you RSVP for one of our events, but don't show up, we remove you from our guest list. Every one of our events sells out and we generally have a waiting list for the events. Therefore, we don't keep people on the list who just RSVP to lock up a seat.
- Your a jerk...seriously, we want to fill the room with great professionals. Occasionally we have to remove someone from the list because other attendees have complained about them.
- It's an oversight -- don't immediately assume we intentionally omitted you from our list. It might have been a technical glitch. Please contact us using the "contact the host" link if you have any questions.
What Can I Do To Help?
We are always in search of new venues to host events. If you know of a bar or restaurant that would like to have 150-200 professionals visit on a Tuesday or Wednesday night, please contact us to provide an introduction. We expect the venue to provide food / appetizers for the group.
Do You Publish An Attendees List?
You can check the bottom of this page to see a list of everyone who has RSVP'd for an individual event. We don't publish a directory with the contact information of every attendee. We also can't provide you with any attendees contact information. If you meet someone at the event, please get their card and follow up with them directly.
We have also created a group on LinkedIn for attendees of our events. This is a great way to connect with the people you have met at one of our events. Click here to visit the LinkedIn Group.
What Do You Do With My Contact Information?
We use the contact information you provide to invite you to other networking events and that's it. We don't share or sell your contact information and we will not use your contact information to try to sell you anything.
How Do I Get Off The List?
Please contact us using the "Contact The Host" link on the right side of the page and ask to be removed from our invitation list. We don't want to SPAM anyone, so please just contact us and we are happy to oblige you.
